I began teaching P.E. and Health right out of college at 22 years old at a high School in Chicago in the same neighborhood where I grew up.
Being close to the age of the students I taught and sharing similar experiences helped me to relate to them. I understood their social and emotional needs and felt fulfillment with every student I was able to support.
